We just finished our second game. We'd won the first game, and were kicking tail on this one. We'd sunset blue and red, and blue was a very active disease this cycle, so the infection deck was well stocked with dead cards. Black was about to be cured, but yellow was still a problem, with 3 epidemics having hit it during the game.
It was still as well controlled as possible given the circumstances, only two outbreaks so far, and both of them already cleaned up, or at least contained.
Then... an epidemic hit Buenos Ares, leaving Santiago and Sao Paolo ready to pop... Shuffle.... Sao Paolo AND Santiago hit, causing loss by massive outbreaks (we called it a loss by running out of cubes before all the outbreaks hit...)
We would have won in two turns...
On the bright side, we lost without too much collateral damage, so we were able to pick up some additional bonuses with our end of game actions.
