This variant uses the character CARDS included with the game that were made superfluous by the character mats. Simply slide them into a sleeve with an opaque back so no one can see the character you are trying to gun down (I have also just uploaded a file that is a wanted poster that works with clear sleeves).

Goal: Shoot your Bounty more than the other players by the end of the game.
Rules:
* At the beginning of the game, each player draws a Bounty Card (one of the character cards) and keeps this information secret.
* Throughout the game, try to shoot your bounty more than any other player. If you do, turn in that low down, no good, snake in the grass for $1000 reward money! (they don't lose any money, you just get the reward money- just like Tuco and Blonde from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly)
* If you happened to draw your own Bounty Card, try to get shot the least among all the players. If you do, get $1000.

*In either case, if you tie with someone, you don't get anything.

This is honestly the most intriguing idea i have read on here! Can we have some feedback from anyone who has tested this?? I love how you used the character cards so no need for something new. The rules seem so simple and clear. I will have to try this out. Thanks so much.

Thanks! Justs as a bit of follow up, I always play with this now. Totally fun and pretty easy even for new players to grasp.

Upon first reading it sounds like the $1000 is too high. What does your experience say?

That was my fear at first as well, but with the unpredictability of the movement coupled with people just trying to shoot anybody for the $1000 for shooting all 6 of their rounds off it evens out pretty well.

It also leaves a bit of mystery in the air at scoring time which is always fun.

This sounds like a fun Variant to play. I think that it would be great to separate the events from the cards and play with a random event at the end of a turn card. After all you don't know what is going to happen.

Maybe a special event phase. You could come up with other events. A Healing Token might be good, you could discard a bullet/wound card or remove it and draw a card at the beginning of the schemin' phase.

Yup! By about the midpoint in the game, the programming between you and your "quarry" can be very different and people make a rush for the case (or the one who already has it).

You would use the exact same meeple that you already have. I personally have upgraded my copy of the game to use miniatures, but all the cards (and the colors) haven't changed any.

Do you only count the shots from players or do the Marshal's shots also get counted when calculating "being shot the least"?

Just the ones from other players.

I certainly wouldn't want Belle as my bounty.

Yeah, I think that would be the problem for this otherwise awesome variant.

And I believe Belle with her own bounty card is also an issue, since it seems too easy for her to dodge bullets.

Yes, it can be difficult, but by no means impossible. Belle with her own card does seem to limit her ability to pick up loot (preferring to avoid confrontation if possible)

Took the original trains apart, scanned them, increased the size by something like 110% (i think... it's been a while now), printed to sticker paper, adhered to foam core, and cut out.

The size of the new train compartments fit the entire original train- if that helps.
