For clarification,
is Chameleon a three-in-one Icebreaker
or
only good for breaking Icebreaker's subroutines?

only one at a time. every time you install you, you pick the one of the three that it'll break.

it's important to note that it is never a fracter, decoder, or killer, so wraparound laughs at it.

Yes, I know, that Chameleon may be used as one of those Icebreakers one at a time.
Is Chameleon useful enough to put in a deck? What are its limitations?

Good to know that it would not be useful against Wraparound.

i'm confused by your question then

sure, it's useful for the right decks. its limitations are that you have to install it every turn you want to use it, and you can't natively increase its strength. and, as already pointed out, it doesn't actually gain any subtypes, so it Wraparound is still str 7

are you asking about how to use it?
it's not an AI, so it can be thrown onto Dinosaurus
since you're installing it every turn, LLDS Processor triggers every time you play it
Hayley can install it without spending a click along with another install
you can use Sahasrara credits to install it for free

idk, i think you might need to ask a more specific question

- that answers my question.

thank you all for your input

I have tried Chameleon with the Chaos Theory identity.
Even with all three LLDS Processors in play, it is still no match for a lot of the ICE, such as Turing.
I like its overall usage and flexibility, but find it frustrating that its strength can not be increased.

with 2 LLDS in play it breaks turing for 1 credit. How is that no match? And it's strength can be increased. You just said how in the previous sentence..I'm confused..

Not to mention that Datasucker helps Chameleon make short work of nearly any ICE the corp can throw at you.

Also with Shaper BS if you can slot a D4v1d you are in pretty good shape.

Earlier this fall I was running a Kate version of the deck and could become really aggressive once I had a single LLDS processor out. Once the strength four level is covered you can hit nearly any server and rely on D4v1d tokens and recursion until you find the rest of your processors.
