Poll: How high off the floor do you store your copy of Roads & Boats?
Spotting a friend's copy on their highest shelf reminded me that that is where I keep my copy. It's safe from sticky fingers and vagabonds, and on the only expanse of shelf large enough to hold it.

I wonder, do all copies of Roads & Boats gravitate to the highest shelves?
Height above the floor (NOT how high above sea level!):
In the clouds (well, above 12ft/3.6m)
Near the ceiling, higher than I can reach
As high as I can reach (~7ft/~2m)
At eye-level (~5ft)
I have to crouch (~3ft-5ft)
On the bottom shelf
I keep my games on the floor and I should be ashamed.

Kind of a trick question. I'm tall and can reach pretty high. My copy is right on top of the shelf, inches from the ceiling. It's next to the new Catacombs.

It's those IKEA Expedit/Kallax shelves! I've got a wall of them, and they don't play nice with games that size.

About chest level. One wall of our game library has floor-to-ceiling game shelves and that just happens to be where I put our Splotter games.

Note: we don't have kids.

Of course it is a trick question, I wrote it! I did start writing out the poll with actual scientific heights, but got bored trying to accommodate ft/m and switched to relative heights (ie relative to their owners)

Related question, if I may: how do I keep a solo game of R&B (thanks Travis for the motivation to get back to R&B) or anything, really, on a table for days and safe from my cat, who hates heavy strategy games? A big foam cover, like the ones you put on roses to protect them from frost?

Despite your hope, there is not even any inherent symbolism; gravity is simply a coincidence.

Store the cat in a chipper?

I actually left a divider out of my Expedit shelves to support Roads & Boats specifically. How's that for commitment? ;-)

I found that a series of Rosenbergs (with a little HT mixed in) created an ideal pedestal for Roads & Boats:

Huh. I guess we might need to do some science. Put a copy of each, side by side on a shelf and see if Antiquity slides its way on top somehow...

On my shelf, Roads & Boats is on top of Antiquity, on the top of the shelf (though that's probably only because I've most recently played R&B).

Hmm does that count as shameful floor storage, or practical out of sight storage? Regardless, I'm guessing it is pretty high
