If so, talk about it. I'm notoriously bad at coming up with mission rules myself. I've never managed to come up with really good Doomsday rules. I had a pretty successful Nerendra III game with a friend but I'm still not really satisfied with the rules.

So what ideas do you have for new missions, and/or what home made missions have you done which have been successful (or un-successful)? Maybe we can come up with some good ones.

Thanks.

Working on a Wolf 359 scenario myself where the cube is actually a match for 40 ships as it was in the show, not the lame, sorry excuse for a Vube that we got. It has a ways to go, but in our testing so far, it is proving to be a really fun everyone vs 1 scenario.

I have seen a couple different Doomsday machine scenarios here on BGG, complete with ship cards and stats for the DDM that were rather fun.

Sounds fun. I'd like to see it when its done. I assume it uses the Assimilation Cube?

Currently working on a mission based on the below:

From gallery of Typheron

basically a riff on the trouble with tribbles.

Standard game set up with starbase K-7 in the middle (represented by a planet token), if you have that k7 model kit stick it on top.

All captains and 2 crew (if applicable) start on the K-7 spacestation alongside a stupid amount of tribbles. You have to recover your Captain and crew and then eliminate the enemy fleet.

The twist is that K-7 will beam 4 tribbles over onto any ship without shields (disabled or otherwise) within range 1-3 of it. Given you will have to drop your shields to bring your captain back things will get interesting.

Still working on the details of it, points and the like.

Got Diplomacy Interrupted into file section. I really like it. Hopefully put some wear on cards not often used.

Working on The M6 Incident, trying to find better balance of hobbling what looks like three damaged ships vs computer ship.
May add other victory condition, like save the freighter to it.

Also trying to port Holding Back the Night, from SFBs Falklands War scenario.
It would be a carrier war and planet assault combo, involves fighting for zones in increments.
Tension in area commitment, balance in deployment.
It will use Maquis raiders and Bajoran interceptors to penetrate back zone where Dominion supply is at while they try to drill Fed and allied zones to victory.
Hope to have more rigid layout, you must take out so many smaller ships for larger ones.
Also resupply and repair, swapping fighter loadouts.

Problem, thinking lots and playing little...

Sounds like some great missions being worked on here.
Try to post these when finished as files. Think more people see them there.
Wish BGG had a scenarios or missions choice, guess variants?

I posted one ages ago based on the Antarean Rally.

Some input from other members was really helpful in rounding it out too

I got one from BGG that was good for 2 players and the DM. But it wasn't really the DM against a fleet scenario I was hoping for. And I have this great DM I bought on eBay that looks great on the board so I want to get some more use from it.

Here's an idea I thought of, needs work I think.

Shuttle Ambush (This started out with Ferengi in mind but could be adapted for other factions, for example, delta flyer with a starfleet ship.):

Scenario begins with cloaked 'ambush faction' ship on eastern edge of the mat. Ship belonging to the 'shuttle' or 'defending' faction (whichever descriptor suits you) begins play in mat centre, with a docked shuttle carrying someone/thing important (in the Ferengi example above it was a pirate captain who insisted on escorting his spoils personally).

The ambusher wins by destroying the shuttle before it reaches any of the western, northern, southern sections of the mat and escapes to warp, even if the capitol ship it docked on at the start still remains. The defending player may decide to fight instead of flee, he still loses if the shuttle is destroyed. If the defender's capitol ship is destroyed while the shuttle is docked, both are lost (likely at least one defending player will try to turn the capitol ship around with the shuttle still docked).

Obstacles (asteroids, cloaked mines, or others) may need to be placed to prevent a quick getaway from becoming too easy.

Not to be a naysayer, but didn't Wolf 359 ended with the entire Federation fleet destroyed without the Borg cube even having its paint scratched?

My friend and I did a destroy the odyssey scenario from the deep space nine episode “The Jem’Hadar”. 75 points. Must take the Enterprise D to represent the Odyssey. This was before the shuttle craft so we used the federation fighters as the "runabouts". The opposing side must take 3 jem'hadar attack ships with suicide attack for free. place three mission tokens on a planet in the center of the board. The goal of the federation player is to get the three mission tokens off the planet by spending an action from the "runabouts" to beam up one of the mission tokens. Then they must exit the play area to win. The Dominion player wins if they can destroy the runabout or use suicide attack and destroy the "Odyssey"
