I can recommend you to join the Wotr Board game online group on Facebook where it is much easier to find opponents:

strange, I thought I had just posted to a different thread with the same title. Well, here we go again:

There a standalone client here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1heX5V4VSGD4hfMjC_gLh...

Also, there's a Vassal version that was taken off. It's still there, though, if you know where to look.

Clearly I'm an idiot. I've joined the facebook group, checked this forum, clicked on the appropriate google doc... all I get is the rankings. What am I missing?

umm, sorry for being unprecise. I was so used to the spreadsheet that I forgot to mention it.

In the lower right hand corner of the spreadsheet I linked to, there is a grey box with red writing "Fangorn version". Below that headline, there are two links that you could just click.

Also, I'm providing a direct link here:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9LN1dNc0Syeb1ZuZzdLMzlmaWs...

Hope that helps -- Happy gaming!

I'm kind of an idiot... I'm so used to using the scroll wheel on my mouse, and one scroll shoots right past it without ever seeing it. I had to scroll down a row at a time.

Yes I noticed it doing that only recently with my new browser (Edge), does not do it in Chrome though, weird defaults.

I didn't have a great experience when arranging games through that Facebook community for LoTR Online but it's a place to start. Message me if you would like to schedule a game sometime.

I'm surprised to hear that. I have had a great experience learning the Java client from the people on there and also getting rules questions answered very fast. What led to your negative experience?
