I've put them in a "overlays" folder inside by ASL boards folder. I've put them directly into the boards folder. I've tried putting in ovr1, and I get the notice that it can't find "file c:\users, etc...ovrovr." I don't know why it says that. I just can't get it.

You may be able to change the path in which it's looking in...

Go to settings/preferences....in VASL.

Look for the overlays path....MAKE it where you have them now.

Try that..

Do you mean--Files/Preferences/General/Board Directory because that's the only file path I see. And if so do you just "pour" the overlays in there or do you create a folder inside the boards folder? And FWIW I've tried both without success. I am looking to place overlay 2 on board 34 for scenario 67 Cibik's Ridge.

I think the problem is the name you're entering to place the overlay. Don't enter "ovr" when you try to place it. Just "1" should do the trick. Same goes for all the others. Ovr is part of the file name, but VASL wants just the overlay id itself.
