What is wrong with them?!

This game is awesome. Thematic asymmetric chaotic area-control awesomeness. I feel like I need to beg them to play it so it almost never hits the table.(I don't beg) They'd much rather play Lords of Waterdeep again instead. (YAWN)

I assume your playgroup is really social, all hanging out and chatting while playing a game? They probably don't want something as involved and intense as CitOW. They don't care about the deep gameplay or interesting asymmetric factions, they just want to play without a lot of fuss.

I mean, they shouldn't play Waterdeep, that game is trash. But while there's much better light games to play, it's possible they're simply getting something different out of the hobby than you. Looking for a second playgroup may be required.

I've got a group of guys to play this the past 5 Thursdays in a row. We also eat a few boxes of General's Chicken before we start.

Usually 4 of us hit winning conditions at the same round, so they are wonderfully tense, tight games.

This IS the place to brag, right?

A shame. I suffer the same with Asgard , however, my group loves this.
