Microbadge of the Month
October 2015 Runoff Vote

The contest's winner will be awarded the prestigious mb, and will get any tips given to this thread (please tip 1 when you vote; I hate handing out a few pennies as a prize). The winner will also be in the running for Best Microbadge of the Year.

Please base your vote on the microbadge's image and/or mouseover quality (whatever that means to you ), not on whether you like the depicted subject, are friends with the designer or any such thing. Thanks and choose... wisely.

Poll
In your opinion, which badge should be considered the Best Microbadge of October, 2015? (presented in random order)
Your Answer   Vote Percent Vote Count
Paper Bag ("I don't want to talk about my favorite team.")
49.4% 39
 Kiwi lover ("I love kiwis!")
50.6% 40
Voters 79

Contest fine print

If a tie exists at the end of this runoff, the committee will panic, and maybe even award a joint win.

Also, please remember that soliciting votes for badges, either public or privately, is not allowed. Please do not advertise one specific microbadge or designer; let votes fall where they may, honorably!

Any situation against the rules or not identified will be dealt with by the Microbadge of the Month committee (currently garion, Schwartzkopf, wildthayne, and zorro_jv. The committee's word is final, but they're all quite friendly and won't bite your hand off. At least, not unless provoked.

What's the procedure if there's another tie? Dual winners?

According to the fine print, the runoff is "to determine a winner."

I don't think that this situation has come up yet, so the committee hasn't made a policy on it. I would personally lobby for a tie after the runoff. No sense in dragging out repeated polls for something as minor as a microbadge.

If they tie again both will win. At least that's my vote.

If so, third place gets third place, with no second place? Or four winners in all?

Congrats, Markus!

For the record, I delayed submitting a MB that I thought had a good shot of being MotM because I didn't want to go toe-to-toe with the kiwi...

I'm pretty sure I've said this in other months, but I'll never understand the overwhelming love for fruit microbadges around here...

But then again im often astounded which of my badges make it to the finals as well, so who am I to judge

@Daniel: It's not only that fruit microbadges are surprisingly successful in MotM-votes, also game microbadges are seldom to be found in the finalists...
