Here's what I know so far:
-It won't get in the way of either Huey nor IAF Leader according to the official Facebook page of DVG
-It's planned out to be more like a strategic version of TAL in order to give you more control overall
-You move your bomber groups to their target, once there, you'll tactical resolve flak, fighters and the bombing run
-Also confirmed is that the B-17s WILL have fighter groups escorting them the whole way

Because of them fighter groups, I'll share this lovely image of the Mustangs getting their kill on a 109! P-51s for the win!

Hi Gerald.

Most of what you mentioned is correct.

The strategic aspect will be different from TAL... destroying targets will affect the number of Luftwaffe Squadrons deployed on the map. Also, the success or failure of secondary missions will impact theater fronts, which impacts Luftwaffe Squadron deployments to those fronts.

Regarding Escorts, depending on the Campaign year, you will have the choice of the following fighter groups: Spitfire ('42), Thunderbolt ('43+), Lightning (Jul '43+), or Mustang ('44+). In '42 and '43, your Escorts won't be able to escort the Bombers to long-range targets.

The core game is complete. We are playtesting the game now... still some tweaks to the design required to streamline some of the rules. I'm hoping to post an overview video after making a few more changes.

This sounds really good, but please make sure this is not Tiger Leader with wings. Would love to see perhaps a prototype or a playtest version of this game to see how it plays...:-)

Hi Hubert.

Not really sure what you mean by Tiger Leader with Wings. It is a Leader game, but more closely follows Hornet Leader, with some unique game aspects.

I'm sill making a few changes, but I will hopefully have a video showing the game play within a couple of weeks.

There are a few pictures at the BGG Website:

Dean,

to me TL is nothing but reskinned TAL with some Panzer flavor. Im hoping that B17 is going to be more than hornet leader taking place during WWII. Let me know if you need playtesters....something that TL lacked 9in my opinion).

ah.. got it. Definitely not "WW2 Hornet Leader". There are some unique aspects relevant to the Strategic Bombing campaign.

I have several playtesters so far, plus DVG is playtesting it. I've been getting good feedback and incorporating updates.

Hoping to have a video or session report soon.
