Hey, everyone!
I'd like to share with you a project that we've been working on for a past year. Guards of Atlantis is a team-based, competitive tactical tabletop game inspired by the popular PC games' MOBA genre, based in a steampunk setting.

Features
- 2-6 players
- 60-90 minutes of game time, including the set-up
- action card based gameplay
- hex and area based movement
- a unique combat mechanic
- skill tree based character advancement system
- a unique minion wave management mechanic

Current version of the game rules.

Very interesting. Will you post some samples of the cards?

Anatomy of the action card.

Whenever a player resolves a card, he may activate one of three actions (move, attack, or use a skill). The defense value is addressed, when you are discarding a card from your hand when attacked.

And here are samples of the tier one cards for two of the heroes.

Be advised, that these are prototypes that are sugject to change and may contain some typeos.

The game is mostly finished and already got through several testing rounds, and there is only some minor tweaks left. The artwork is around 50% done at the moment. The only thing we are struggling right now are the miniatures, I'll post some WIPs of them in the following days.

We are going to provide PnP (Before you make a pledge), along with the 'proper' rules download at the compaign launch.

Re: Guards of Atlantis: tabletop MOBA
Game board, deployment and movement.

Game board is divided into seven areas:
1) Two thrones(orange and light blue), one for each side. Heroes start the game and respawn after being defeated here.
2) The lane(green), that consists of three areas. During the game set up all the minions are deployed in the dark green area. All the main action happens in these areas. When the lane is being pushed (all of the minions of one side have been defeated) the minions respawn in the next area, towards the opponents' base on their predesignated spawn points.
3) Two river areas (dark blue). These are neutral areas that can be used to your tactical advantage, there are no minion spawn points there.

Movement.
When resolving an action card that has a boot symbol, you can move, using two mechanics:
1) You can move a number of hexes shown on the boot symbol in any direction. Friendly and enemy minions and heroes, as well as some hexes on the board block movement, and you need to move around them.
2) Fast travel. If you are in an area that contains no enemies(minions or heroes) you can move to any hex in that area, or to any hex in any adjastent area, if there are also no enemy models.
