I was shocked by the prices and was going to order at least South Mountain and maybe a couple non-ACW games to expand my horizons a bit, but then I saw that the shipping would be $30 just for that one game. So, no MMP sale for me.

It's fine, I still have a couple scenarios left to play in None But Heroes and all of Last Chance for Victory, so South Mountain can wait.

I was the same, I was considering getting Talavera until I saw that the shipping was nearly 3 times the price.

Nothing. Wont even look (even with a friend with a US address).
Too many games to play as it is.

For some reason ACW games with a bunch of counters (and even traditional block - I decided not to back new KS 3 in 1 acw worthington bundle pack - that might prove a mistake, but we will see) dont appeal to me, although I am very interested in ACW (so much that I am thinking about making it a primary field of study in future career). I have guns of gettysburg which I find THE GAME in terms of what I want from ACW wargames, and a house divided for strategic scope. Is there something wrong with me?

The three RSS games and Out of the Attic #2. The games cost just a hair more than the shipping, but that was to be expected. It's still a good deal...

ASL Action Pack #9: To the Bridge ! and Best of Friends

Thought about Screaming Eagles in Holland but that looks to be a bit more than I can handle with all my unplayed games.

I could not resist A Fearful Slaughter: The Battle of Shiloh. Even with the outrageous shipping cost of $33.50 and import duties, it will still come in more than £20 cheaper than I can get it here.

For anyone interested in Angola, it is an amazing game. However it really only plays with 4 people, and plan on a full day. Our last game started at 9AM and ended at 9:30 PM. It can end earlier, but you can't plan on it.

Couldn't believe some prices on the big box Civil War games!!!

I completed the rest of my Civil War Regimental Series with:

A Fearful Slaughter
South Mountain

I also went head and grabbed Decision at Elst to fill out my ASLK collection.

I have been hit hard lately with an online shopping cart full of games hitting the 30d mark (order must be placed), I picked up the entire Tide of Iron Series from the FFG sale, and then to top it all off the new Poland in Flames ASL product was put on sale a couple of days ago.

So I just picked up This Terrible Sound and A Fearful Slaughter, plus an ASL Action Pack.

The sale was painfully tempting, but I held off. (Cross-border shipping costs and weak Canadian dollar helped - otherwise I almost surely would've bought something.)

What would I have gotten, if only I had less impulse control or a local wargaming buddy to play against? In order of how much I wanted them:
* Breakthrough: Cambrai
* No Question of Surrender
* Where Eagles Dare
* A Victory Complete: The Battle of Tannenberg, 1914 (in Special Ops #3)
* The Tide at Sunrise: The Russo-Japanese War, 1904-1905
* Three Battles of Manassas
* Kingdom of Heaven: The Crusader States 1097-1291 (maybe - remember being excited about the game during development, but not sure how the final product turned out)

Ugh... what fun that would have been! Oh well, it's not like I've played all the games I already own or lack for options.

I'm guessing that if MMP subsidized the shipping costs for international shipping similar to what GMT does, they would have picked up a bunch of new customers. I keep wanting to buy an MMP game but the shipping (and weak dollar) are big deterrents for me.

At least my wallet is happy.

I bought:

Korea: The Forgotten War
Yom Kippur
Rock of the Marne
The Tide at Sunrise: The Russo-Japanese War, 1904-1905

I was sad that I couldn't buy Kingdom of Heaven, Breakthrough Cambrai and Angola at those prices because I already have them and the last two quite recently.

I hate to think what international shipping would have cost, but I used an international forwarder. I suspect that will have reduced shipping cost from about $100 or so to less than half of that.

Some of this, some of that. I will hold off until they are actually in my hands, then post to the "what wargame did you just get" list.

It's too bad, I managed to avoid the GMT sale, and dodged the Compass games sale, and blocked the temptation of the FFG sale. But there are too many holiday sales, and I only have so much resistance. I blame GMT, they had earlier expected some P500 games to come out the end of the year that got pushed back to 2016, so it feels ok to get something else mailed to me in December. shake
