Hi all,

I recently got the first edition of the game at a bargain price. I'm currently "converting" it to a second edition by putting a few stickers on the cards.

I have one question about the Ents cards : the second part says (in the first edition) that if a companion is present in Fangorn, you may play another character event card. But, according to this thread : https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/738666/2nd-edition-review-s... , in the second edition a companion is requiered in Fangorn to play the card. Does that mean that this "play again" effect occurs everytime ?

Thanks !

This is the 2e language on the Ent cards:

The Ents Awake wrote:
Play if Gandalf the White is in play and a Companion is in Fangorn.

Roll three dice; for each result of 4+, score one hit against a Shadow Army in Orthanc. If the Army is destroyed, so are any Nazgûl and Minions along with it.

If Saruman is in Orthanc without a Shadow Army, eliminate him.
If Gandalf the White is in Fangorn or a Rohan region, you may immediately play another Character Event card
from your hand without using an Action Die.

Ok thanks !

But this modificationn was not mentioned here https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/738666/2nd-edition-review-s... or there : https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/120070/war-ring-2nd-editi...

Are the effects “Paths of Woses” and “The Last Battle” also changed beyond their play conditions ?

Edit : Nevermind, I found it all in the java client. Thanks again !

There is also a designer's notes article at Aresgames.eu with all the relevant Event card changes.
