This applies only to batters with a minus power rating. If a Long Ball 10 is called by the offense and Fastball A was selected by the pitcher or Long ball 12 is called and the pitcher had selected Breaking ball B, the normal results are a single (3).

Try this instead:

Roll one die and if the die-roll is less than or equal to the absolute value of the batter's power value, convert the single (3) to a long ball (7) and then roll on the Long Ball Chart for the final result.arrrh

This represents the notion that power hitters are always looking for the ball up in the zone and they had connected with it when it was up in this case. It removes these pitches (A & B) from "pitch away from power pitches" and makes the game a little more realistic without adding playing time.whistle

I like this. Even after they changed the rule to allow anybody to call a long ball, with only 3 occurrences on the chart, you could still pitch around the home run.

Thanks. I will upload a "fate" rule for the off speed f pitch coming up shortly. You may like that as well.
