So I just played my first game of this, and due to a blunder on my part the Witch King died. No big deal, the Nazgul can be re-recruited at any shadow stronghold right? Certainly their leader, the most powerful of all Nazgul works the same way. After reading through the rules it appears that the Witch King is gone for good after losing him.

Is this correct? It feels really wrong if this is the case.

Thanks guys.

When he's killed, he's gone for good. And so is his extra Action Die.

Yes, he is gone. He can actually die even in the books, but it's supposed to be a woman who kills him. I guess it is assumed that there is a stray woman in the army that finishes him off.

Damn strays! And here I was doing my best to slaughter the women and children too! I have a very strict non-discrimination policy.

"Not by the hand of man shall he die".

Dwarves, elves, wizards, hobbits, ents, orcs, trolls, or women of any race, however, are free and clear. Alternatively he could be kicked to death or have a rock drop on his head for all the prophecy cares. laugh
