What wargame or wargames have you just obtained? Please post your wargames that are newly in-hand.

That is...

HOLD OFF UNTIL THEY ARE PHYSICALLY IN YOUR POSSESSION.

Just showed up in the mail today--and the game looks amazing. Two countersheets. There's a warning that the full game takes in excess of 8-9 hours. Meaty. Can't wait to give this a test drive and I bet I will want to play it again and again given the high level of variability in the system!

Tarawa is my least favorite of the three - Peleliu has some very difficult challenges and several different strategic objectives

Remember: battlegroups are expendable and come back the next impulse. Treat them as such. Slow down XXX Corps and chip away at the Red Devils. Play with all optional rules and if you are the Allies, push as hard as you can with XXX Corps. Get the Red Devils into Arnhem and hold on for dear life.

I picked up two Napoleonic era games at opposite ends of the difficulty/commitment scale:

AH 2nd ed.

and (what have I wrought?)

Luckily I already have one gaming buddy who after seeing it last night said "we *have* to play that!" Any other Tucsonans interested in giving it a go?

And one WW2 grand strategic...

Sadly, this one goes under the tree until Xmas.
