Looking at this games for my partner and I to play with our three teens.


Games we enjoy with four or five players for our family

Xia: Legends of a Drift System
Dead of Winter: A Crossroads Game
Francis Drake
Lords of Waterdeep: Scoundrels of Skullport

Both are good.

Kemet is more aggressive and has more up front complexity. The array of special powers and optimisation will make it less "fun" for some people (people who like simpler games where you can shoot from the hip) and more for others (in particular people who enjoy "learning" a game).

Cyclades is more restrictive and defensive, but I find the auction to be inspired and the combats as they are rarer and often more decisive, more exciting.

I prefer Cyclades, but I'll leave you to decide which is better.

I think both games are fun but based on the list you gave I would go with Kemet. Kemet is action based where Cyclades is auction based. Either way though, I don't think you can go wrong.
