So we have a small base for the tiles so they stand and stay in place, the box is the correct height for tiles, bonus.

then we have 2x 6 spot planos for cabins, resources, etc. The only thing I don't have organization for is the Contracts, as I feel it is not necessary (they need to be shuffled and piled in 3, so anything is a bit of a waste imo). I should add the planos stack to the height of the bottom box, pretty much exactly.

Shuffle the Contracts and tiles and you are off to the races, set up is a breeze.

This one is fortunately about 1 hr of work, if you count buying the planos (2 on the outside).

Excellent assembly.

What do you store behind the houses? (did you glue the chimneys?)
From the picture, its looks like Plano 3400?
Is there any room above the planos? I use a couple of bags to draw the tiles from during play.

The chimney are indeed glued in so they don't flop around and get lost. you could store a folded bag under the house (infact the green skill bag fits, so possibly 2), you I could move the skill bag under the houses and store some extra bags on the edge neat the planos. There is still some wiggle room in this, but it has everything I use to play.

There is no room above the planos. The green bag on the top is the skill tiles.

Yes, they are 3400 series planos.
