Hey,

I am looking for some recommendations for board games that can handle more than 5 players. I have a good selection of 2-5 player games, but sometimes we have family gatherings with more than 5 people and it's not fun to have someone sitting out on the sidelines while the others play. We do have a couple that can handle more players, be we don't want to play those every time we have 5+ people as it gets dull fast

Preferably they will be games in the 30-40min range and easy to play as my mum doesn't like games with complicated rules

Examples of games we currently enjoy/own.
+ Sheriff of Nottingham
+ Ticket to Ride
+ Machi Koro
+ Carcassonne
+ Say anything
+ Betrayal at the house on the hill

I have been getting recommended Hanabi a lot by my local game shops. What is it like game wise? I keep getting worried about remembering and keeping track of all the stuff as my mum and me have spotty memory.

and yeah if Coup is like Sheriff then my mum will question everything ... lol

Get The Resistance, you won't regret it. It's cheap, fun, and plays quick.

Spyfall
Cosmic Encounter if you can handle something a bit heavier (also need expansions to get over 5p)
Libertalia is one of my favorite 6p games.

There must have been a moment at the beginning, where we could have said no. Somehow we missed it. Well, we'll know better next time.

I always play where you can keep whatever notes you want. No memory needed. Then, part of the fun is keeping your notes straight.

You'll probably want the deluxe edition with card holders or tiles instead of cards IIRC; if you get just the card game, you'll need to rig up some way to keep them held up in front of you like maybe scrabble tile holders or something. In the rules as written you have to keep the cards in the same position held up in your hand for the entire game, which is kind of ridiculous not to mention potentially painful...

In no particular order I am listing the games I have either played and enjoyed or look good enough that I would buy for more than 5 players. Good luck.

The Resistance: Avalon
One Night Ultimate Werewolf
Ca$h 'n Guns (Second Edition)
Good Cop Bad Cop
Mafia de Cuba
Two Rooms and a Boom
