Have you ever eaten a sugar plum? Disgusting.
They ain't fruit coated in sugar, I can tell you that much.

Does anyone here have a traditional cake/ bread that they buy/ make/ eat for the holidays this time of year?

Challah?
Pandoro? Panettone?
Stollen, perhaps?

My father-in-law's family is German, and although they immigrated to the US before he was born, they still had a few German customs; one of those was when my father-in-law's mother would make Stollen every year around Thanksgiving and let it "age" until Christmas.

My wife keeps this tradition alive. (I'll admit, I don't care much for it; it's not bad, just kinda dry for my tastes).

When green is all there is to be, it could make you wonder why. But why wonder? I'm green, and it'll do fine: it's beautiful, and I think it's what I want to be.

My mother-in-law, who passed away last January, always made Norwegian Christmas bread. She always called it yulekage (yule cake)

It made the best toast!!
