I really love this game and will probably keep losing at it for a good, long time.

That said, already looking forward to the expansion and started idly dreaming on it.

-Companions/Summons; Dudes you can bring on the map and throw around or have a simple, lesser ability. Ex: Cook - Activate, eat loaf, heal 1hp.

- Save Game Placeholder: When you want to try a round, but can't commit to 3 hours.

- Official scaling difficulty: So many cool ideas from this forum, test a few and got an easy way to scale the game. Loved the fudge dice post.

- More Everything! Classes, monsters, the works!

What are things you would like to see?

More cards to every deck, 1-2 classes. This could be "mini" expansion without box so it would be more like fan service with great price, rather than bloating game with 101 new things. Also could include errata.

In my opinion no more new mechanics to game, game is now in very balanced spot in elegant - fiddly scale.

Specialisations and Races similiar to the Trait Deck:

I want to see an Unstable - Rogue - Night Goblin - Shapeshifter!

Well.

I want to see the Cleric character! It has been horribly missed and was 'teased' in the expansions Kickstarter but never actually made it. Cleric!

I agree. No need for adding new mechanics because it will tilt the scale to "too fiddly". It's alright right now. I think that it will need a bit more variety assuming it gets played until 2017 which is a possible target year for an expansion.

A minor expansion with errata and corrected cards + new variety to locations + remake/additions on some underused events will make me happier than a full fledged expansion with a ton of new mechanics and so on. There is a point that you can't keep piling things up without breaking the balance of the game.

I really want more locations to explore -- I love the art and flavour text on them, but currently feel like the variety won't be enough after a while.

The save system sounds like a very good idea as well; I've been meaning to make up my own.

Well, you know what?

Adding to my Cleric wish, I would really like to address few more things:

● The location cards and adventuring part is still by far the weakest aspect of the game. The games strength is the battle system and adventuring seems so minor in comparison. But while I like the adventuring system for what it is decision-tree wise, the adventuring cards need to be bigger, at least Dixit sized.

● I really hope that the second expansion is content expansion. More monsters and bosses and encounters and more traits and classes and obstacle tokens and locations. Please do not add more to the game mechanics, I think the game has hit the roof in terms of mechanical explanations. More content to existing decks is perfect for this game!

● I really wish for a better quality control and proof-reading. I am sure there are plenty of fans of the game who would gladly look over all materials for free prior to being sent to the printer so that bugs such as misprints of cards and tokens would not happen again. I buy a lot of games and this is one of the few games that has notable misprints especially in the second edition.

● I found the cardboard insert with an overly sexualized anime-girl artwork totally off-putting, almost as if out of a different game. And I am a liberal European who is fine with nudity if it fits the product - this one just didn't fit the game at all and was something of a bad taste. Please change it.

Or... we could have a new Hero Anime Girl/Guy and a new Treat Overly Sexualized

I don't understand how someone could print a second edition with more and new mistakes. I don't think BD games did any proofing before they sent the game to the printer and just had a date in mind they wanted to hit. Will be very cautious on their next Kickstarter unfortunately since they have proven they cannot get things right even after a second try. Third time's the charm?

I agree with Kristo that there are any number of BGG'ers who'd be willing to volunteer to proof the game for free. These kinds of mistakes are unforced errors, and they are all the more annoying for that, even though the game is perfectly playable as it is.

I think the concerns on feature bloat are pretty interesting. I agree that more everything would be cool, but I love the sub-class idea and races. More start-up features would be interesting!

I think companions could function similarly to terrain and thus not require additional rules, but balancing may be a pain.

Proofing, I think, will be improved. I am going to back the next one, no doubt, just because of positive interactions with the developer and how solid the game is.

i would like to see more locations. there are few locations, and after 4 or 5 plays, you have seen all of them. so, i ask for a really high amount of new locations (25 new towns, 25 new wilderness and 25 new mountains will be fine).

Exactly! This is what I meant. This is one of those games that can have 'cult following' of sorts, I really really love this game system and I want it to be polished and complete. I am willing to put up hours of my own time to proof read and make sure things are right.

Quality over quantity. Better proof reading of all components.
After so many errors in both editions I certainly won't be backing BD games again.
