The bridges in my set are missing, and I thought it shouldn't be too hard to make some suitable replacements using matchsticks or something of that sort. Does anyone else think this is possible?

I'm only not sure of the dynamic between the bridges and the other smaller pieces. Are they stands? Does the bridge stand entirely on these pieces? I know they are there to allow a fireball to knock down the bridge, but if the bridge doesn't stand entirely on that smaller piece I'm not sure how to recreate this effect.

Any tips from someone who has the actual bridges and can help describe the physics involved so I can more easily recreate my own would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Unless someone else is quicker with helping you, I could make some pictures and a movie tonight, when I come back after work. Could be such items are already on the forums somewhere though

edit...

There are some pictures on here already, like this one:

For one bridge you'd need two sticks in a triangle, with a third stick below (just long enough to hang in the gap, but not touch the bottom), so a fireball could flip the bridge. And then some stuff sideways on top so the mini's can stand on it.

The other bridge is the same, but then parallels.

THe hanging stick below should not be in the middle of a bridge, but to the side where the fire ball comes from, else the bridges can't flip over

Also, the stand under the bridge does not hold the bridge's weight. They are only there so the fireballs will tip the bridges enough to knock players off of them.

Thank you so much! I think where I was getting confused was the concept of holding the bridges weight which is clearly not supposed to happen. I will scarp the "supports" I made and give this another shot tonight when I get home. Thanks so much for your help, I really appreciate the detailed explanation of how these bridges worked... even if it should probably have been obvious to me already! Haha.

I will say I also found this image which should be very helpful as a guide when making the bridges:

I made some bridges using toothpicks. Glued about 6-8 together and cut off the points to make a flat bridge and connected a toothpick from each end to form the legs. Spray painted it brown and dry brushed it tan to get a good color and it looks and works great.
