Played a fascinating game at the weekend, an early Allied focus on Europe saw the British take Berlin around about turn 4. The British made it back into Berlin with lots of help from multiple uses of lend lease. The Soviets then joined the party and they took Berlin again on turn 10 IIRC. The Germans managed to get back in every time, never had a situation where they did not score as Berlin was always immediately emptied. A final taking of Berlin around turn 14 was again repulsed but Italy then suffered the brunt of the Soviets and was left with no armies at all.

While all this was happening the Japanese were left to their own devices in the Pacific. They took China and India but ran out of steam before they could take Australia.

Axis scores moved gradually towards the magic plus 30 but Italy were knocked out just at the critical moment, the maximum lead was IIRC 27 points then the Soviet giant turned East and swept through India and China to really hammer the Axis powerhouse and by turn 19 the Allies had opened a 30 point lead for the win.

Great report! Usually an exciting game - often a VERY exciting game like this one. I've never seen Berlin fall more than once, never mind 4 times - amazing stuff!
