As the title says. I received $40 in gift cards from Amazon. I keep looking and looking with longing, but can't pull the trigger on something. I have a regular RPG group who will sometimes play board games. My wife will play every once and while, as well as board game with me (rim shot). Anyway, She and I have been playing patchwork lately and enjoy it. I play a lot of solo games. My current favorites are Lord of the Rings LCG and Tiny Epic Galaxies.

I have been eyeing the Star Wars LCG but am afraid I won't be able to play often. I know there is a solo variant with lots of recommendations. I have had Netrunner and Doomtown in the past but sold them since I had no one to play with. I'm open for almost anything. You can check my collection to see what i have. I lean towards AT. So, Star Wars or something else?

I'd avoid the LCGs unless you have someone who's already interested in playing.

I received Lords of Vegas from my Secret Santa and it was a blast. You build up casinos on the strip, then trade, undercut and gamble your way to success. Very thematic, and as you don't have Acquire or Chinatown I think it would expand your collection quite nicely.

Your gift cards is not going to run out so fast, so just wait until you find something you really want, and where you won't hesistate on pulling the trigger IMO. Such a time will come. I don't like to force a purchase just to do the purchase.

Unless you think your collection is needing something specific, and would want to expand it?

I guess what I'm really wanting is someone to either sell me on the Star Wars LCG or offer a replacement. I don't often get to buy new games with all my adult responsibilities so I'm kinda just chomping at the bit. The Cult of the New calls...

Maybe wait till Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game comes back in stock? Has a cool looking campaign, can be played solo, is in the realm of an lcg, and might appeal to the RPG group.

Is Friday your only solo-only game? If so take a look at some solo-only games since you solo a lot. Here are some good ones available on Amazon:

Hostage Negotiator
Infection: Humanity's Last Gasp
Onirim
Sylvion
