Hi, is there any news of an expansion? I heard that one is in development phase, is there any chance to see it this year?

Development is 96% done.

It's mainly up to the publisher, maybe they will decide something after Nurenberg.

Any news here? I would love an expansion for this! This is a really neat game that is by far better than Orleans, which is an iconography and variant-mess in my opinion

I would really like to get an expansion for this, please take my money

Also, I think Hyperborea could take a page out of Orleans: Invasion expansion and set up some sort of cooperative situation. Just a thought.

Additional info from an interview to Andrea:

- There will be black and white cubes. You can acquire them through means that are still undisclosed, but they don't earn you VP at the end of game.
- Black cubes represent darkness and act as wildcards (you can place them on any space).
- White cubes represent light and you can only place them on multicolored spaces; however, when you place one of them you immediately draw another cube from the bag.
- There will be rules that allow to hire elite troops.
- There will be rules that allow you to expand and change the map.
- There will be rules that make the ghosts much less inactive.

Very excited for this.

Most of the critical issues with the game tended to reference too much downtime with nothing for the other players to do. Were any changes made to address this? Things for players to do when it isn't their active turn?

I personally love the game as is, but I can see why this would be an issue for some, and wouldn't mind a reduction in inactivity either.

I don't think that there is any chance to correct this. If you play with 4 people, and they are experienced, the downtime is not that bad.

My problem with the game are with the race powers, which is a common topic here. I personally play this game with the fan-made ERRATA.

That's structural in the game, and no expansion will fix this. If it did, it would be making it a new game.

Yeah, I think if you have downtime with this, you'll have downtime problems with other games too.

People just need to plan their turns in advance.

Generally, you have all the information you need to plan your turn at the end of your previous one.
