My decks that reference google sheets now all throw errors when I try to validate. A typical log:

Quote:

Validating sections...
Validating includes...
Validating frameblocks...
Validating links (step 1)...
Validating macros...
Validating input...
Validating labels (step 1)...
Validating links (step 2)...
Validating labels (step 2)...
10: Label unknown: <[FILE]>
11: Label unknown: <[RANK]>
13: Label unknown: <[ABILITY]>
15: Label unknown: <[NAME]>
Invalid labels, validation aborted

This used to work just fine.

I've checked now a couple of test sheets and they work fine, can you send me a geekmail with the LINK ID?

It seems OK to me, there are these sequences (each with 18 elements):
id
title
flavor_text
condition
prestige points
Stage
Type

When I validate here's the log:

Validating sections...
Validating includes...
Validating frameblocks...
Validating links (step 1)...
Validating macros...
Validating input...
Validating labels (step 1)...
Validating links (step 2)...
Validating labels (step 2)...
11: Label unknown: <[TITLE]>
13: Label unknown: <[CONDITION]>
17: Label unknown: <[TYPE]>
20: Label unknown: <[TYPE]>
23: Label unknown: <[TYPE]>
26: Label unknown: <[TYPE]>
29: Label unknown: <[STAGE]>
Invalid labels, validation aborted

And this is just one deck. I've tried this with multiple decks, and with a brand new deck and google sheet. I get this type of error no matter what.

Can you try from another PC (and another Internet connection)?

FYI I tried with the latest version, and while the LINK directive worked, I got strange behavior, and some 'dividing by zero errors.' I dumped the sheet into Excel and ran the same script, and there were no errors. So it looks like there might still be some issues here.

Without the script, the only test I can run is to add the LINK= line and verify that the labels are all there:

I'm actually working on a different sheet and script now. I copied and pasted the entire working script, which I had linked to an excel spreadsheet locally, and pointed the link to a google sheet, which is just a copy&paste of the local Excel sheet.

Now, in validation, it throws the error:
7: Link file not found: temp.xlsx
Validation aborted

I'm running v1.21.3 on Win10

Here's the script:

I think I've found the issue, when you link to a specific sheet you must enable another option in Google Sheets (I know, it's awkward but internally the sheets are numbered in a strange way, and nanDECK needs an additional file that is exposed only with this method):

- open the spreadsheet in a browser,

- select from menu File -> Publish to the Web,

- click on “Publish” button.

I had this option selected but was getting the same error. I disabled publishing to the web and re-enabled it. No more error. Perhaps Google did some kind of update?

I'm getting "this file is not a valid XLSX (Excel 2007) file when I try to run the following:

BORDER=RECTANGLE,#000000
PAGE=21,29.7,PORTRAIT,HV
DPI=300
CARDSIZE=6.3,8.7

LINK=1AZXSI5oxRy98oLID6m5M7cG0Tpe022hhGGaB7O7KA_U!Sheet21

I've published the spreadsheet in question per the instructions above, and the URL for said spreadsheet is here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AZXSI5oxRy98oLID6m5M...

Is there another step I need to take to get Nandeck to recognize this is a link to a google doc and not to Excel?

Maybe it's this setting:
- open the spreadsheet in a browser,
- select from menu File -> Publish to the Web,
- click on “Publish” button.
