Nope, even the plan for small expansions based on 2 new rooms and 2 new characters unfortunatly seems aborted

I am pretty sure DT is completely dead. If you are interested in it, I would strongly recommend Dungeon Twister: The Card Game. It is still available and is actually a bit like a big box travel version in that it combines elements/characters from all of the expansions and gives a lot of the DT feel in a very portable package.

If you could touch the alien sand and hear the cries of strange birds and watch them wheel in another sky, would that satisfy you?

The card game has some legs, but it loses a lot of the tactical elements of the board game. It's also pretty busy on the table and ugly to look at.

If you just get a copy of DT prison you will be set. Great solo rules in there and what you get in the box is a good value. You can of course pick up the older expansions for it but they are not needed.

Yes, that is true. I bought a box last year.

By the way: I have an english version (Asmodee) of the basic game for trade!

It's one of the very first games I ever bought when I "got into" board games again. It's a super cerebral game but sometimes a mess to manipulate on the table. I've always had ideas of some sort of combination of Tzolk'in: The Mayan Calendar and Dungeon Twister combined to make it super easy to turn a room or rooms.. hrm.. now there is an interesting design idea...

I have Dungeon Twister as a complete bundle on the Marketplace if you are interested in the whole shebang. Its under Dungeon Twister; it includes Dungeon Twister (previously owned), and expansions 1-5 (new and all still in wrap).

The information comes from the IOS App News.

The multi mode will be played through Board Game Arena.
Even if the app is cancelled (I hope not), DT will be on BGA.

More over, if DT is a success on BGA (lots of players and games), it will have an impact on further releases.
On the other side, there will not be another try as DT is 11 years old.

Is the app at risk? I hope not. I hope they aren't spinning their wheels with the AI. I just wish they would implement the Prison solo rules. They are great and give a good challenge when you ramp up the difficulty level.

Besides I am sure what we are all waiting for is to just play real opponents anyway. Its what DT is about and why its such a great competitive game.

Not at all.
As it takes more time than expected, they have chosen to give pledgers free access to the multiplayer mode in BGA.
