hi,

i´m a painting starter.

this is the first time i tried.

i would like to hear some opinions.

where should i improve?

what seems to be the obvious mistake that i did (i hope there is no one :) )

Well done! I wouldn't say I see any mistakes. There are always ways to grow, of course. You could develop your hi-lighting or try experimenting with blending (those are the two skills I'm currently trying to improve at ). But mostly your style will develop on its own as you paint more and more.

Oh, and I really like how you did the spines on the hell vermin. I'm going to have to copy that

They look good. Only thing I would suggest is a light wash of black or brown to bring out the detail, it's quick to do. Just in-case I keep tissues handy to blot out any excess wash before it dries.

The slugs might hold their color better with a dark maroon or crimson wash. (If you decide to try out washes, apply to a small area first to make sure you like the effect)

These look excellent, really nice job! The washes are a great tip. My only suggestion would be to add " medium" to your image so that it shows up larger in your post. You can hit "quickquote" to see what I did to get it to show up larger.

Keep up the good work!
