Anyone got any unofficial, good home-made scenic add-ons? Or bits ported from other games to use in this one, charity shop buys pressed into service, etc?

I made these, I also have a little moon thing that lights up and a K-7 model kit built up as a larger space station.

What do each of these represent? I'm intrigued by the yellow constructs, especially.....Good stuff.

Asteroids for the grey ones, just treat them as obstacles.

The space station and the ship yard can be objectives or just scenery.

The yellow ones are the size of game objectives and are for one of the cardassian missions, defend the outposts. I modelled them on the cardassian defence stations seen on DS9, they are just card and a bit crude but do the job.

I used the metal half spheres from Games workshop as planets. LITKO has some interesting stand up drifting asteroids. We already have planets, wormholes (swirly things), asteroids (objective tokens with debris), dead ships (from the OPs), Tholian web (from the OP by the same name), defense satellites, and so on. We're blessed with lots of neat terrain just hanging around ready to use (unlike some games I could name).

But I like your homemade ones!

With those planets, you'd better hope no one is using Maneuverability.

I know this might offend purists, but there is a card model space station (from Elite Dangerous) that makes a pretty passable Borg-like vessel.

That looks pretty cool, and rather thematic with the Borg's typical style for geometric shapes. : )

It does look pretty good built up, too.....

The Enterprise-D is over-exposed. The card model's come out reasonably well, though.....Prints on A4 to cut out to this size, so pretty cheap. Let's be honest, it looks better than the basic Ent-D! "Elite" has been assimilated.

It does! much better than I would have expected for papercraft - Did you use regular copy paper, or card stock?

I made some debris by cannibalizing some old models, mostly a NASCAR race car and a very poorly sculpted Millennium Falcon.

Great debris. The Coriolis station is printed on standard A4 printer card - thick paper, really, rather than card stock.

No, I took molds of the sides of various borg ships and then used green stuff in the molds to make the shapes

I filmed some videos of the process and put them on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5aS0q8QS_lu7NiAMdiGdAQ

Home-made Doomsday Machine token.....Because there's more than one out there, surely? This one's BIG:

This is the card I based the stats for this on, from zaurkahn:

It's an A4 sheet, using most of the height, so it'd be about 10", I reckon. Cut around the thick red outer lines, though, to make the table token. Just for fun, really.

I got this one on eBay. It's paper mache so light but also somewhat delicate. Not bad though.

I'm not sure how to use this, yet. I had some ideas about a trapped vessel and an opposed rescue. That felt quite 'Star Trek' to me. The 'entity' will target and fire upon any ship which is within range 3 (360 firing arc) which has discharged weapons that round, either at the entity or at any other ship within range.....Thinking it through.....

The mission is a solo endeavour to free the trapped vessel (which is helpless but unharmed, unless.....). I'm trying to get my head around how to implement this.....

The entity's stats? Weapon - energy strike - 6 up to range 4. No range modifications to attack dice. Each 'crit' hit draws target 1 nearer to being itself captured. No movement. No hull. initial shield value 7 BUT each no hit on it INCREASES shield value by 1 and crits only count as normal hits. Shield value must be less than agility of trapped ship for trapped ship to break free. Working on it.....The entity will also attack any other ship firing weapon in the same round, whether that fire is directed at the entity or not. I'll try to firm up these parameters. The aim is to free the ship. Killing the critter is a violation of the prime mission directive.....

More generally, some scenario ideas would definitely benefit from third party intermediary at times, I reckon, without the duties of a GM in an RPG. It would introduce the possibility of 'imperfect information' (which even cloaking doesn't make possible in this particular game). The scenarios are generally slug-fests, really, which is fine as far as it goes but.....I've just read over The Void stuff: a sort of boxing ring for pirate ships. At least the crews being from all over the place on wacky ships will make some sense there, I suppose.

I do wish WK would develop/release some straightforward Star Trek-like solo scenarios. Not with a requirement to buy yet more ships and cards - just the solo scenarios, sold separately. There are a lot of people out there with all the ships they'll ever need and no one to game with (or game often enough with). Solo scenarios would allow players to enjoy a different type of game, with different conditions other than just combat against other ships, perhaps. More 'Star Trek', as well.
