Great news!

I'm currently playing Peleliu and was wondering where the series would and could go next. I came up with Salerno or something non-amphibious such as the Cholm Pocket.

Its such a good system. With Iwo Jima it would be epic if they'd they'd put a second map on the back just to add a a some greater variety and replay value (IE a second island with same but slightly varied rules, such as Guam or Leyte Gulf.

I read elsewhere that there was a Stalingrad planned for the system. IF so I would gladly pay an extra $5 to have LENINGRAD on the other side of the map

Anyhow, I am still enjoying Peleliu on a regular basis.

According to Decision Games website it looks like D-day at Iwo Jima and D-Day at Stalingrad are in the works. Both titles can be found under their pledge program for 2017+....there are also some reprints of Strategy and Tactics magazine..

I've been enjoying Peleliu and just picked up a copy of Omaha Beach. Good stuff!

Last year I had mentioned on Consimworld if Montecasino would work. It would seem like a pretty good candidate for the D-Day system. I also mentioned perhaps Hamburger Hill would work due to the mostly static nature of the AI defense. Joe Youst the map designer stated he wanted to make a Okinawa game. Sometime later I do not know where I saw it, either one of their magazines or one of their newsletters. Decision had a poll, with what would players like to see next. Monte cassino, Iwo Jima, Okinawa and Stalingrad. I was too late to send my vote, and i am not sure whether that would even have made a difference if they would have picked the game i wanted anyway. Montecassino really interests me but I will take whatever decision makes with this system. D-Day has been my favorite solitaire system. I really think Decision has caught lightning in a bottle with D-Day, so I will get whatever theme they make. iI just received my world at War Crete issue. Somewhere in the back it has another poll for a D-Day system concerning WWI which seems interesting. I really hope they still decide in the future to make the Montecassino one.
what do you fellow solitaire war gamers think.? I think i will start a thread on what would be good themes for the d-day series, if anyone is interested? I do not think Decision even looks at BGG for gamer feedback but Consimworld instead. I will have to post it in the main D-Day forum and it does not seem if anyone really posts there. so it might become a dead thread.

I had a thought about the system being applied to a Vietnam setting: D-Day at Hue City?

The Sicily landings seem an obvious option to me

Also what about Airbourne landing like Crete ?

D - Day (I mean Normandy) airborne landings would work in this system. I would also like to see other 1944 beaches.

Getting counters ready for play testing. Also testing a new wrinkle in the system. If it works, we can get rid of depth markers.
