This is my first heavy war GMT game...I come from a land of playing Small World and Lords of Waterdeep with my kids.

Watching a "How to Play" Video always helps, but I don't suspect Rahdo will be doing one soon for this monster! (too much conflict I suppose).

Love the idea of playing a heavy game with great theme, but may have purchased more than I can chew on.

Here is to hoping a brave and brilliant sole takes on the challenge!

This is a big step up from Small World, but persevere - these games are very cool. If you have questions, plenty of people here will try to help.

I am having trouble with placing all of the different counters on the Status Track. Does anyone have any still photos of what that track is supposed to look like in the 1861 Scenario during the first three turns? That would be a huge help.

Try loading the Vassal module. That should give you an idea of where the counters go on the turn track. I hope this helps.

Fear cannot be banished, but it can be calm and without panic; it can be mitigated by reason and evaluation.

A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals, and you know it.

Sorry for the horrible pic, iPads have weak cameras. This is the start of the 1861 scenario before any moves have been made.

I sent him a private request - we shall see if he is able.

The rules have my head spinning, and I think my only hope is a video play-through to wrap my brain around this one...else it may collect dust on the shelf cry
