So, this time a protester who was being escorted -without resisting- out of the rally by the local law enforcement gets punched in the face by a 78 yr old man. The protester is then tackled to the ground while the man is left alone. Only after a ton of videos are posted on the net does the puncher get arrested.

To all those who claim racism is dead etc etc. I'd like the words of Mr. McGraw speak for themselves.

Quote:
"Yes, he deserved it. The next time we see him, we might have to kill him. We don't know who he is. He might be with a terrorist organization,"

And I'd ask, does anyone think if a Black guy sucker punched someone being escorted by police that the puncher would be free to enjoy the rest of the event and stroll on home?

If he was 78? Probably. I don't agree that either of these should get off free, but if a 78-year old black man sucker punched someone in the heart of the Baltimore inner city at a Hillary rally, he would almost certainly get away with it. The cop would probably decide that it's better to let him go than incite a riot.

Mind you, I don't think it's right in either case to let him go.

Correct, my sentence structure was poor but that was meant to be explained in my OP ^^

"punch him in the face"

"carried out on a stretcher"

"shoot someone in the middle of 5th avenue"

"Who wants a magazine?"

Monstrous.

So what does this say about those people?

They would riot to protect a man who physically assaulted another?

Do you really not see (sorry to Godwin the thread) the parallels here with how the Nazi's acted? No Trump is not Hitler, but his supporters do indeed appear to be political thugs.

He doesn't even have the small fraction of humanity to denounce uninstigated (well, if you don't count what Trump is doing on stage) violence by his followers at his rally.

The fact that this has gotten this far is absolutely sickening.
Really? I'm gonna bet you thought this before but are just using this as a post hoc justification. Frankly statements like that make other statements you say suspect.

Don't get out much do you? I would guess a solid 30% of people (if not more) are assholes and thugs.

Frankly all these threads are just rehashes of unthinking echo chambers.

Except this seems to happen at more then 30% of Trumps rallies. Sure maybe it is only 30& of his supporters, so how come nothing is done to disown them or remove them once they cause trouble?

Sorry, but no other party seems to have these kinds of issues, maybe I am wrong but I cannot recall the last time that a citizen was assaulted at a Clinton or Cruz rally for exercising their first amendment rights.

Come on, Slater, you know they can't be "thugs" - they're not black.

(Also, I see what you did there with "not see"/Nazi.)

So the old bastard did get arrested? Nice. I saw a lot of people elsewhere yesterday when I read about the story assume that he would get away with it after seeing who the police choose to go after.

In fairness, when asked at last night's debate about violence against protestors at Trump rallies, Rubio, Cruz and Kasich all also refused to denounce that violence. Cruz blamed Obama's executive orders, Kasich went into his stump speech and Rubio used it as an opportunity to denounce violence against police officers.

This should not be surprising, because Rubio, Cruz and Kasich have all decided - correctly, for what that is worth, which is not a lot - that they need Trump voter respect to have any chance of winning a contested convention and Trump voter support to have any chance of winning a general election.

So instead of making this debate a dick-measuring contest, those three decided to reveal to America their complete lack of balls?

Seriously though, these cowards make me miss McCain. At least he had the guts to push back at the ignorant racists in his crowds, instead of egg them on.

I'm one of those ignorant racist conservatives. And yet:

https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1539389/state-race-relation...

The OP really wants people to discuss possible solutions to the racial divide in America. This ignorant racist conservative suggested one. You might not like it, so perhaps you should go there and make your own suggestions - liberals should not want mine to be the only suggestion made.

But wait! There's more:

If stuff like this continues, I wouldn't be surprised if the mayor of Cleveland told the GOP they can have their damn convention somewhere else.

It was a pretty big crowd. Gotta feel sorry for Hillary. Trump's crowds are getting so big he now draws more protesters outside his rallies than she draws supporters inside hers.

Whoops! I just started a threat about it. Not quite 68, but it's moving in that direction.

Let's not forget that Donald Trump told the protester to "go home to your momma", too, never for once considering that that young man's mother might not even be alive.

She's not. His mother is deceased.
