The VPG site is asking for playtesters for the Trial of Louis Riel ... which turns out not to be a solo-playable game. That means I don't want it, and leads to the question: will Hero of Weehawken still be available by itself when the stated intention is to bundle the upgraded version with Trial of Louis Riel?
In the "Gold Banner treatment..." thread. There's a post by Alan Emrich in which he states that they want to bundle Hero in a box with another 'small' game "for marketing purposes".
I suppose there is no reason why they couldn't continue offering Hero by itself in a poly bag. But I haven't seen enough of VPG to guess whether that is what they would do. I would like to know now because shipping costs are too high to buy only one game from VPG, and I would hate to wait to purchase it with another game and then find out I can't get Hero separately.
Good to find out. I'm surprised to be described as "right" when asking about what's going on.
In a way that's actually too bad. Cruel Necessity is on sale and I'm in the middle of reading The Tyrannicide Brief, a biography of the prosecutor at Charles I's trial. I'm not sure if I would play it well enough to enjoy it, but it's quite tempting right now. But shipping costs too much to buy only 1 game, and the others of interest are all being updated or still in production.
