We have recently received this game and really enjoy it.

Reading the rules, I cannot tell where or when we are supposed to place a new alien. Currently, we are placing the Spawns and Warriors when we roll a die. But I wonder if we are missing something. Should they already be placed on the board somewhere (a la the starting 4 Queens)?

Thanks.

New aliens get placed when you remove a tile with a Warrior or Spawn picture on it. When you turn over the tile, if you see that picture, place one of those aliens in the space where the tile was.

If you roll the die and there are no aliens of that type, you just don't do anything.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Geoff, I worried that it was more complicated than that.
We have been doing that too.

We absolutely adore the game and had not played Survive Escape from Atlantis. My 12 year old loved destroying his father last night.

Welcome to the long tradition of parents being defeated by their children!
