With the rules as is, That's It! becomes a shout-fest where the loudest and most strident in the group will squeeze out the meek and polite. With that in mind, here are the rules I have applied to turn the game into something awesome.

The reader reads the question, says "Ready, Go!" and starts a timer with an amount of time from 20 to 45 seconds. The player to the left has to the count of three to say an answer or she's passed over. Whoever gives the answer on the card wins the points, but if time runs out the reader gets the point. The next player in the circle gets to answer first on the next question. This way you don't have to raise your voice or elbow people out of the way in order to answer.
