First: what do I need to play the game?
2nd: how do I buy that? (I live in the us)
I haven't played guild ball, but I do know that Miniature Market just started carrying it.
A team is 1 Captain, 4 Players, and 1 Mascot.
Usually, you would buy the team box, two other players, and the mascot. You don't need the playing pitch since you can play it on any 3x3 area. If you don't have the mat, you will need two 50mm round circles for goals.
Some terrain would be useful after the first couple of games, but it is not necessary.
Some d6 and templates, though there are paper templates you can download from the site. The official tokens are useful, but not necessary. Glass beads or pennies will work for everything.
Here is something really cool.. you can get everything you need for free from Steamforged!
PDFs of the full rulebook, player cards, and even printable stand ups for the players.
technically all free or printable:
rules: free printable
area: 3x3 playing space/board (demo on 2x2)
units: some proxy's as units/minis x6 each side (3v3 or 6v6)
*variant unit size bases. mostly 30mm some 40s and odd 50s
(2 starter boxes of 3 units each £ 20 each)
trackers: some generic tokens about 15 for influence/actions
some other markers tokens for special skills/effects (knocked down, burning, nimble etc..re writable white board or gardening card sticks work )
Dice: for a full hand full roll 12 dice
other counters could track on paper
d12 for score
d10 for for momentum
Printed Scatter tokens x2 normal and kick variant.
plot cards: add extra twists (free printable)
Extra Terrain: small terrain less then 2 inch about 3 per side?
trouble is the story is cool the characters are cool, the minis are cool and the few games i've had also seem very cool and theres SEASON 2 SOON!
1 full teams about £50 season 1 (7-8 units)
optional build own or buy official tokens and board/mat ( beyond the minis im a create your own type) (certain minis would not look out of place as Dnd Rangers / Barbarians/ Mages or Familiars!)

open the heart
The playbook rules have confused me. Other than that, the game does look good. It's fantastic that the rules and everything is available for download for free.
I'd enjoy the 3v3 starter game more for the lighter aspect and shorter game time I think. The miniatures look superb.
