I designed a completely different way to use the Frontier deck this year, but, alas, I've been asked to withhold the variant until the comet Gochihr strikes the Earth.
I won't hold my breath for it, but will look forward to seeing it one day.
As far as the Frontier deck goes, I skip the coin altogether and just award a card from it to who-ever lost an attack. My justification is losing gets your blood pumping faster and gets you more focused. I suppose you could think of it as an Adrenaline deck.
In the big variant that I'm working on, I allow a person to discard 2 cards from their second hand, made of cards from a second deck, that I have named "Ranch" deck - which is more or less what the "Stagecoach" deck is with some minor differences. I gave it another name to avoid confusion.
- A player can use a coin to look at the top 2 cards of any deck, returning them to the top in the same order.
- A player may use a coin to move the top 2 cards of any deck to the bottom of that deck.
- A player may use 3 coins to discard up to 6 cards from either hand and redraw as many cards as the player has discarded.
