Wow, these things paint fast.
I've only been at it for a month. Some mixed results, but overall a nice tabetop standard.
I thought I'd share them with you.
I make a lot of use of the tutorials by Sorastro. It makes for very relaxed painting, just follow his colour scheme.
He does use GW paints and I mainly use Vallejo so sometimes I have to mix some colours, but it's so nice that someone has done all the thinking and research for you.

These turned out not so great. Contemplating on dunking them in detol. Used vallejo grey wash and it was a bit heavy on pigment, seaping into the detail more then I'd like.

These show a bit dark on the picture. They have a bit more contrast, but I wanted them dark.

wasn't to thrilled about these (post prequel stress disorder), but they were actually fun to paint.

everyone's favourite repurposed drinkdispenser.

Really happy with Vader. I always struggle with black and he's my first attempt at Object source lighting.

and to make the darkside complete:

I started on the heroes.

again with OSL

and some wookiees to finish it.

10 more models to go and I finished the entire wave one release.
Tempted to buy more, but lets get the game on the table a few times first.

I live in the city of Gulf, on the shores of Lake Water. This fun fact has nothing to do with this badge you're pointing at.

A bit on the darker side these images, hard to pick up details.

Looks great though from what I can see.

Thanks for sharing. I just started my painting journey thanks to Sorastro and those like you that have shared their work. Can tell improvement between my first stormtrooper and the third. Keep it up!

Thanks for the kind words.

Yes I know the pictures are a bit dark. I take my pictures outside and we're experiencing some downpours at the moment.
Weather is unlikely to clear up any time soon and I took the pictures during a rare brake in the rains.

Your figures look good!

When I take pics of my figures (here: My Painted Minis Showcase - a Story of Following Sorastro's Videos) I do the following:
- Find a place with a good amount of natural light
- Put the camera on a tripod
- Set the shutter to a 2-second timer
- Turn on macro
- Raise and force the flash
- Shine with a LED flashlight on top of the figure
- Take the pic
- Even then, I still brighten it up in Paint Shop Pro (but any free photo editor would be fine, too)

I'm not a good photographer, but I get decent results with this method.
