My girlfriend LOVES painting my miniatures for games(yes, I'm lucky) but I'm having some problems finding a game that has lots of good miniatures she can paint, and is something she would like to play. Shadows over Camelot is the first game that fits this list, but we've already finished painting it. I was thinking Battlelore, but I would prefer something less confrontational/wargamey (more Euro-ish or theme based), because I don't think she would enjoy that too much. Any suggestions?

How is Dungeon Twister as an option? Isn't there an expansion or something that includes miniatures to replace all the old stand ups?

Cleopatra and the Society of Architects
Drakon
Runebound
Descent
Fury of Dracula
Settlers of Catan, the one with the plastic 3d bits
Domaine
Lord of the Rings
Starfarers of Catan

All of those have bits that could be painted pretty well, plus the games aren't strait out slugfests like Battlelore.

Another option would be to see if there is a euroish game that could have an upgrade in bits. Replace the existing bits with miniatures and have them painted.

I´ll second Dungeon Twister, you can see some of the miniatures here:

But the minis aren´t cheap !

You could buy some minis from Reaper and surrogate them in existing games where appropriate. Return of the Heroes would be a good example. Pretty much any game where you have a special character and that character is not already represented by a model.

You know what else would totally rock and fit the bill, probably better than any other game I can think of?

Navia Dratp

Here's one of the minis I painted:

How about Zombies?

I saw a thread around here (does anyone know the link?) somewhere that someone had painted all the Zombie figs. It did really look quite good.

I just picked up Fire & Axe: A Viking Saga and I'm putting some serious thought into painting the mini's. Not a ton of variety but the sculpts looks great! The game itself looks like it could be a real gem!

Another one to consider might be Drakon which has some cool minis.

Decent is great value when it comes to Minis but not sure if the game is your cup of tea or even if you like tea.

I would vote for Winner's Circle.

Of all my painted minis these seem to get the "oohs and aahs" from my gaming friends.

And its a great game. Painted horses & jockeys add 100% to the gameplay.
