Welcome to PBF 56. The Rise of the Old Ones is uppon Earth. They came to take it. Now, they will fight till the last God standing.

I borrowed this PBF template from PBF 44, so thanks!


We will use the following as rules guidelines:
° Cthulhu Wars Compendium
° FAQs Compilation



Take backs are possible only until other player makes his move and only if your move didn't involve any dice rolls.


Game Type:
This PBF will be a vanilla 6 player game on the Earth map, featuring only the 7 factions without any other expansions.



Post Typography
* Normal text for discussions, etc.
* Italics for flavor text/fluff. This is optional. But fluff is super encouraged! If you like that kind of thing.
* Bold for in-game moves and actions.


Game Turn:
Post the actions you would like to take, or a conditional order of the actions you would like to take depending on previous actions.

Please be precise in your orders - try to state:
-Power spent (I.e. "Pay 1 Power.")
-Area moved FROM and TO (i.e. "Pay 1 Power - Move 1 Acolyte Cultist from Asia to Arabia.")
-Power Remaining at end of move.
-Turn Passes to <Next Player.>

Conditional orders are a great way to keep things moving along. Be sensitive to the fact that other people may have reactions to interpose! If you don't want to tip your hand, feel free to send me a geekmail with clear bolded instructions under your banner and I'll honour them.


Images:
Try to start your posts with your faction's banner. Alternately, if you are in a hurry / posting from a mobile device / etc., bold your factions name at the top of the post.

I will usually refer to everyone by their faction name.

Rolling Dice:
Use the geekroll-feature to roll your own dice.
1-3 is a Miss, 4-5 is a Pain, 6 is a Kill.

Here's a cool custom die to roll for battle instead of a normal D6:
Xcustomw{3: Miss;2: Pain;1: Kill}
(X = number of dice you need to roll)


Timing issues with certain Spellbooks and Abilities:
° Ghroth / The Thousand Forms: Players will have 24 hours to discuss and find a decision. If someone has an unavoidable reason they'll be away that was announced ahead of time, this may be slightly extended; if you know you're going to be away and either ability is on the table, consider Geekmailing me instructions for "I will not let Chaos gain power unless he only has X" etc.

° Devolve:
1. If Cthulhu still has Power left: He may devolve before and after his Action.
2. If Cthulhu has no Power left: he is not skipped, but if one of the moves affects him, he must declare within 24 hrs. if he wants to Devolve. If not, or if the time is up, play continues as normal.
3. If someone is doing multiple actions in a row (for example Yellow Sign's spellbooks, or Unlimited Battle) that would affect Cthulhu, he must declare within 24 hrs. of the action if he wants to Devolve. If not, or if the time is up, play continues as normal.

We might need to make new rulings along the way when we encounter some other timing problems.

Do you know how the Doom track for 6 looks like? I don't have it in my file but can make it. It will not look nice but better than nothing

All I could find was this blurry image, but at least the numbers can be deciphered..

Just noticed: The current setup is for a 6-player western hemisphere and a 8-player eastern hemisphere, making our current map the 7-player setup.

Should we revert to the 6-player setup, as it is still early enough that few changes will have to be made?

In case tha map changes to the 7-player setup, the moves on the eastern hemisphere and possibly Opener's starting Area will have to be adjusted.

Since I don't have the 6-8 player map, I may have to change my move, and will be on alert to do so right after Opener and Crawling Chaos decide whether their movements need adjusting.

Regarding the map, if you are ok with the current one, we should just go on. Otherwise, It may take me a little longer to find out which Areas on the eastern hemisphere should be merged and then I can Photoshop it tomorrow evening.

For the record, I am ok with it, since we were late to notice, even though it sets me back a little.
