Paris est Ludique is a large event yet I haven't seen any mention of it on this forum.

Given the location and size I'd thought there'd be plenty of trades, math trades, meetups and the likes.

Not a lot of French people use BGG, maybe you will find something on tric-trac or Ludovox...

I'd love to go myself, but have other plans for the week-end.

Already checked TricTrac.

Nothing either.

Maybe PeL is just too much of a family event?

I went to PeL last year and I found it was very crowded.
This year I won't be in Paris at the date so I won't go.

Hi,

Most of the game industry will be there and lots of gamers too !

I've never been there but I might this year, apparently they moved and it's in a bigger place.

Thanks for those links.

However as mentioned in the top post I'm more looking for (math) trade topics rather than general festival announcements.

Look for Bruno Faidutti's new games: HMS Dolores and Secrets.

There are definitely meetups, here are mine: http://www.meetup.com/Paris-Jeux-public/events/228521155/ (Saturday) and http://www.meetup.com/Paris-Jeux-public/events/228521165/ (Sunday).

They changed locations this year since they've been growing hand over fist for too long not to. A lot of non-family gamers go, the Friday game group I play with (Ludomonde) and others from Ludollectif who usually play on Saturday and Sunday.

There's a big open gaming area and the organizers fill it with tons of excellent games that you can use at your leisure.

Thanks for the links but does 3 people count as a meetup (given the size of the event)?

I guess I'll just enjoy the festival and worry not to much about trades that I could've made :s

I can't force people to RSVP to a public event, even if they found out about it through PJP. And, yes, enjoying the festival is what everyone should do if they're in the area.
