The updated Errata document should be showing up on the BGG files section shortly.

Major rule changes for this release include:
-Empire War: Some polishing to Empire War Base setup rules.
-Empire War: In Empire War Bases can make minor repairs: (• Damaged Bases repair 1 hull point and repair all critical damage still in effect.)
-Empire War: Fixed high end of Active Fleet LP Table (• Change the last row to read 76+: 13 LP/Sector (for an Active Fleet of 76 LP or more a minimum of 13 LP/Sector must be maintained).)
-Empire War: Fixed some issues with Empire War to make engagement/withdrawal more meaningful and less of an automatic decision. In short, you now need greater than a Minor Victory or a Minor Victory without loss of your own ships to advance the Front Line marker.
-Empire War: Fixed an issue with stranded FTRs.
-Play Book: Cleaned up reinforcement rule wording.
-Rule Book/Play Book: Fixed some typos and clarified a few things related to changing missile targets.

Reminder of some rule changes from previous Errata:
Change to FTL rule:
Rule Book, Section 11.1.2, Retreating Procedure, Remove 2nd bullet:
slow down to a Speed of 1 (Ships do not need to be traveling at a Speed of 1 to retreat.)

There were also changes to Base placement and Planetary capture for Empire War in from errata releases. Check out the full errata document for all the details.

...and STAY TUNED... There will be announcements regarding the first Talon Expansion in the near future cool

I'm curious. When there are Errata's like this, are they added to the rulebook when the next printing of the game happens?

not always. depends on the game, the publisher and the extent of the errata.

ASL is a classic example of a game which does not fix errata with new printings, and there is lots of errata

When we do the reprint the rules and play book will include the updates. That is the plan anyway.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I've heard the term before but not exactly sure what it means.

It means the rule book slowly changes over time and is generally available in its current state on the publisher's web site. As best I can tell GMT is a Living Rules company.

For me, it means continued product support. It means that we keep working to refine and perfect the rules after the game is released.

If you believe in living rules, it means the rule book will for sure be updated with every printing.

It means that when you are learning the game, you have to be vigilant and keep a very close eye on the rules. They bite! One lapse in concentration and you will be moving those stacks with one less finger.

GMT pretty much always edit before reprints, they're like the Blackjack-and-hookers of wargame publishers.
