We had a quibble about splitting the horsshoes when more than one player chooses this option. Is it the total value of the horseshoes that you try to divvy up, or is the number of such tokens present?

Re:Rules Question
Bribaba (#22624),

You divide up the horseshoes by how many are in the pot, not by the value on the horseshoes.

Re:Rules Question
Bribaba (#30701),

The horseshoes are upside down, so you can't see the values. This way no one else knows what you get.

Questions commnets:
1) Greatest game ever!
2) It is best to initially have 6 horseshoes in the pot (NOT 'number of players'). The reason is that if there are 5 whoever goes first will go for horseshoes and nobody else will since they will only get 2.
3) Suppose 3 peple want to move the ship. Since suggesting a color kinda tips your hand, my rule is the player whowent last nominates a destination. How do you habdle it?
4) Is the following Ok: Players A and B want to go to the island. Player C refuses and nominates red for example, and will not negotiate. So they battle horseshoes, leaving only player C as the sole chooser. Can player C now go to the island??
