I am probably being very dense, but looking at the location cards, I do not see a way to get to Saturn.

What am I missing?

There are maneuvers from Jupiter flyby and outer planet transfer, but you can only go when the calendar specifies.

I apologize for the previous post, I assumed you meant saturn orbit. If you're referring to saturn itself, there are no maneuvers to do that. Same with Jupiter. Only flyby, orbit, or the moons of each are available.

Got it. thanks. I assumed the Saturn specific mission cards would involve doing something at the Saturn location.

Well, maybe 1956 there was the assumption that Saturn had a solid core you could land on... but then again, maybe not.

Or if you want to drop a one-way probe into the atmosphere to sample it, it's still going to the planet.

I was wondering how you can find and return Saturn ring sample ? Is it only when you draw the Saturn hazard with rock fragments / dust (can't remember the exact name) ?

If I remember correctly, you can take a sample while in Saturn Orbit (maybe even in Fly-By?). It either is stated on the card or in the manual.

How come you have multiple copies of saturn if you cannot land on it?

The same reason there are multiple copies of Solar Radiation. Although it can't be landed on the hazards affecting nearby locations may be different.

Sounds plausible. The saturn mission card also is worded like you could have a landing on it, but in the sentence there is a lot of "or" and "/" to make it possible to mean the moons are landed on only.
