The tanks in Tanks will work well in Airfix battles but I'm liking the free form mechanis of Tanks as it will allow me to use some of my large battle mats and 3D terrain bits.

I haven't been able yet to identify the scale of the vehicles in Tanks. Anyone know if they're 1/72, 1/86, or 1/100?

"Tanks" is 15mm scale, same as Flames of War.

Thanks. I was hoping for something closer to 1/72.

The game reminds of a freeform version of PanzerForce which uses 1/72 Sherman and Tiger tanks. But the ability to improve the tanks crews in Tanks sounds interesting. I could easily play Airfix on the PanzerForce board and finally get troops into the mix as well. Tanks would probably work ignoring the square grid lines.
