While my board game purchasing is taking a breather for the next few months, I am really interested in Seafall. Having an original IP legacy game really brings out the storyteller in me and I think it would be a great fall/winter game for my family to try.

That being said, I do enjoy Pandemic (it was my gateway game many years ago), and I know Legacy gets rave reviews from most folks who've played through the campaign. Based on a few events I've heard about, it doesn't seem as family friendly as Seafall might be.

So, has anyone here played both games? Obviously, the story/gameplay/mechanics will be very different between the games, but I'm more interested in knowing if you think Seafall will take over Pandemic as the legacy game of choice once it's out.

Please don't give spoilers about either game for my sake (and others) who might have similar questions.

Thanks for reading and answering!

Seafall isn't out until GenCon, and I doubt play testers can really say anything about the game.

I know it isn't going to be released till GenCon or September to the general public.

I'm just hoping folks who have play tested it can give a general idea about how it plays compared to Pandemic.

I'm sure they are under NDA.
