Hello,

My partner and I have been enjoying a lot of games lately.
I completely fell in love with the gallerist and it plays really well with 2 players, I ordered Kanban and hope to get the same feeling, but I was wondering, what other options are there for us?

Like:

-economic games
-immersive theme
-having the feeling you still make a chance at all times
-pretty
-medium-heavy

Dislike:
-Conflict

Thanks for any help

I don't have any direct recommendations, but have you ever checked out videos from[geekurl=https://www.boardgamegeek.com/guild/1622]Rahdo Runs Through?[/geekurl] Him and his wife tend to like the games you described above and they also don't like conflict in their gameplay.

Heavy:
Madeira
Mombasa
The Great Zimbabwe
Trickerion: Legends of Illusion
Argent: The Consortium

Medium-heavy
Lignum
Brew Crafters
La Granja

I played all of the above with two players and ( in my opinion, except maybe Lignum) all are very good with two.

Heavy but not as good with two players
Panamax

You might check out the lineup of medium-heavy euros from What's Your Game. I asked for people's opinions on their games a while back and got many responses, including a few write in suggestions

See: What's THE Game from 'What's Your Game?'

I also often hear Food Chain Magnate mentioned along side the Gallerist in terms of similar weight.

Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small -- medium depth. No conflict. Has two expansions to add greater variety. Plays quickly in 7 turns. My wife and I enjoy this one a lot.

Check out Fields of Arle, a sandbox-style medium-heavy worker placement. Very thematic, and every choice is important, but there is little conflict.

Ora et Labora is another low conflict medium-heavy WP by Rosenburg.

I notice that you have Food Chain Magnate and rate it a 9, which has been described as "a knife fight in a phone booth", so I'm not sure what you mean when you say you don't like conflict...

It's a dislike of my partner, I like conflict but I'm looking for a game just the two of us can play.
Uwe games don't do the trick, she finds the themes way too boring.
I'll look into the other recommendations.

Already good suggestions so I will give few that the missus really likes at the moment
Lords of waterdeep and parfum neither are too heavy but enjoyable.
Also consider Roll for the Galaxy as my other half really likes it for some reason and it plays nicely for two.

My favorite games are Gallerist and Kanban.

That in mind, some great low confrontation Euros that I don't see in your collection:

Medium-Heavy
- Trickerion: Legends of Illusion with Trickerion: Dahlgaard's Gifts - Very thematic, and works very well at 2p with the expansion.

Medium
- Grand Austria Hotel
- Tzolk'in: The Mayan Calendar
- The Voyages of Marco Polo

Slightly Different Suggestion
- Scythe - It does have combat, but it's completely possible to play without it. In reality, the game is more often about the threat of combat rather than actual fighting. My girlfriend, who does not enjoy conflict, really enjoys this one.

As a note... Argent: The Consortium is full of conflict and take-that mechanisms. I love it, but it's not what you're looking for.

We played The Gallerist tonight and happened to be discussing games with similar feels. Out of the games we regularly play 2p, Tuscany was our comparable to The Gallerist. As a side note, Viticulture without Tuscany is still an awesome game at 2p.
