Petrol here dropped back below $1 per litre for the first time in about 15 years - that's gotta be worth something, right? And that's what it was all about anyway, right?

I think it spread on to rare earth minerals.

As for cheap gas, it's at almost $3/gal again in CA. As for whether this was all worth it, I think that depends on if you've been on the receiving end of govt pork projects because some people have definitely profited greatly from this entire affair.
