fyi, Secret Weapon Miniatures with Reaper Miniatures will be running a game tile KS coming up July 24th. The official publicity pic doesn't make it obvious that you can build a SoB board from the pieces, so I'm posting some prototype pics Reaper posted to get you a better idea of what you can do with these terrain pieces and tiles for your SoB game.

Forar also posted some serious Dwarven Forge bling on Dakka: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/1200/559369....

Well, they look - interesting.

I am not sure exactly how/when I would use them. These days games produce some pretty good looking tiles sets. I have a bunch of the Dwarven Forge stuff and I don't use it very often.

I am looking forward to see all the tile sets they bring out in the Kickstarter.

Peace

Oh wow. I've been eyeing their Rolling Hills and Forgotten City tilesets to use for a couple of weeks now. I may wait for the KS to see if they include their previous sets in a bundle with these.

My airbrush is ready!

It's cool, and it's almost more mine than dungeon. However, if we used it in this game it does bring some questions to mind. You'd have to either go with fixed maps, OR you'd have to have some other way to decide how to build the map (player choice perhaps?).

Also a phenomenal amount of painting work, and transport even more difficult but it would sure look neat.

Ya, those are pretty sweet. But for the same reasons, I'm tempted but gonna stick with the stock puzzle tiles and printed "flat" map tiles.

I know myself all to well (I've put up with me all these years!) and I just KNOW I'd get way too carried away if I start going down the 3D route (again). I got heavily into hirstarts.com terrain making years ago, Really a lot of fun, but I got out of control with endless castings and moldmaking projects - completely took over my entire basement.

As it is, I've made a couple cardstock buildings, they look neat but I leave them on a shelf, I'm trying to shy away from building more terrain.
