Not that often, but occasionally, yes. The air condition helps in such cases.

Maybe the problem has been in storing the tiles in the huge plastic bag that came with the game?

FFG is amazing at replacing things. Just write customer service.

However most every warped tile game I've had I just store the tiles/board flat exposed to ambient air, under pressure 5-10kg (enough to flattened the bends +) for around 7 days. Never had a tile still bent after doing this.
